The necessity of steel structure anticorrosion in power industry
There are many high-temperature and highly corrosive environments in the power industry. In this environment, traditional coatings are prone to cracking, peeling, and failure.
Taking the flue gas desulfurization system of a power plant, in the wet flue gas desulfurization device, there are four locations that are most vulnerable to corrosion damage, namely: absorber, scrubber, duct outlet, mixing chamber and flue. The acid condensate formed in the flue gas desulfurization process, coupled with the environment such as wear, pitting and chlorination corrosion, are the root causes of corrosion damage to stainless steel scrubbers.
Factors such as high temperature, dew point, dry-wet cycle, gas flow rate, high-concentration sulfate solution, fluoride and chloride will accelerate pitting and crevice corrosion.
